About Us
Friars Point Economic Development Association
The Friars Point Economic Development Association was established in 2023 with the intention of improving the overall quality of life within the City of Friars Point. Our aim is to work with the Friars Point City Council to create an infrastructure that will attract businesses to our City. To establish job training programs in order to decrease the percentage of Friars Point residents living below the poverty level. To bring a medical facility with licensed medical personnel into the City. To increase police protection within the City. To establish a library so that our senior citizens and children can have a quiet place to read a book or explore the the world beyond Friars Point.

Friars Point Delta Revival Initiative goal is to transform abandon buildings and neglected properties into triving economic spaces that will create jobs, stimulate tourism, and preserve African American heritage in the Mississippi Delta.
Friars Point sits along the Mississippi river and is rich in Delta history.
